MiniRoos U5 - U7 Clusters

​

Children turning 5, 6 or 7 in the 2025 calendar year can play MiniRoos cluster football. The competition typically has 18 playing rounds with games played in so-called clusters. During the season games are played at a single location for 2-3 consecutive weeks after which the cluster moves to the next location.

Games are played on Sunday with kick-off typically between 8:30 and 10:00.

Playing format:

  • Number of players: 4-a-side with no goalkeeper, maximum of 3 substitutes

  • Field of play: 30m long x 20m wide

  • Goal size: 2m wide x 1m high

  • Ball size: 3

  • Duration of the game: 20 min halves, minimum 5 min half time break

  • No penalty area

The competition kicks off halfway through April with training typically commencing a few weeks prior.

Training is provided once a week by BSC coaches with match day coaching shared between parents.

MiniRoos U8 - U9 Competition

Children turning 8 - 9 in the 2025 calendar year can start playing MiniRoos competition football. The competition typically has 18 playing rounds with games played in a home and away format.

Games are played on Sunday with kick-off typically between 8:00 and 10:00.

Playing format:

  • Number of players: 7-a-side including a goalkeeper, maximum of 4 substitutes

  • Field of play: 45m long x 35m wide (best practice)

  • Goal size: 3m wide x 2m high

  • Ballsize: 3

  • Duration of the game: 20 min halves, minimum 5 min half time break

  • Penalty area: 5m deep x 12m wide

The competition generally runs from April to September and training will commence several weeks prior as designated by the coaches.

Training is provided once a week by BSC coaches with match day coaching shared between parents.

MiniRoos U10 - U12 Development

​

Children turning 10-12  in the 2025 calendar year can start playing Junior development football. The competition typically has 18 playing rounds with games played in a home and away format.

Games are played on Sunday with kick-off typically between 8:00 and 11:00am.

Playing format:

  • Number of players: 9-a-side including a goalkeeper, maximum of 5 substitutes

  • Field of play: 65m long x 45m wide (best practice)

  • Goal size: 5m wide x 2m high

  • Ball size: 4

  • Duration of the game: 25 min halves, minimum 5 min half time break

  • Penalty area: 10m deep x 20m wide

  • Competition points are maintained by Football West for assessment purposes only. No ladders are kept and no scores are allowed to be published.

The competition generally runs from April to September and training will commence several weeks prior as designated by the coaches.

Training is provided once or twice a week by BSC coaches dependant on coaches and coaches preferences.

Parents are expected to assist by providing a ground marshal and referee for home games as well as assist in preparing the ground for the game.
